Martha Rosenberg received her undergraduate and law degree from the University of Kentucky. She has been a solo practitioner in Lexington, Kentucky since 1981, practicing in the areas of law that include family law, domestic violence, juvenile neglect, dependency and abuse, grandparent rights, mental health and criminal law.
She has received many awards in her profession, including a listing in the Top 25 Women Attorneys and Top 100 Attorneys in Kentucky each year since 2007, in Kentucky Superlawyers. She was named 2013 and 2015 Lawyer of the Year, by US News - Best Lawyers, and she has also been included in the listing of Best Lawyers/Law Firm in America each year since 2007, and Lawyer of the Year in 2013, 2015 and 2017. Ms. Rosenberg has received an AV® Preeminent rating, (the highest rating available in legal ability and ethics) by Martindale-Hubbell® In addition, Ms. Rosenberg received the 2017 Lawyer of the Year Award from Fayette County Pro Bono Office and Top Lawyer, 2015 Louisville Magazine.
She is a member of the American Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Fayette County Bar Association, and Collaborative Law of Central Kentucky, Inc.; and she is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also a Certified Mediator with the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts, a former member of the Kentucky Bar Admissions Review Commission, a member of the 22nd Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission and a member of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
Ms. Rosenberg currently serves on the Fayette Circuit Family Court Advisory Committee; Mediation Center of Kentucky, Chair Person of the Board; Member of the 22nd Judicial Nominating Commission; Secretary of the Family Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association; Kentucky Supreme Court Mediation Rules Committee and Collaborative Law of Central Kentucky Board Member.
Previously, she has been a former Vice President and President of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a member of the Fayette County Bar Association, Family Law Section Rules Committee; Chair, Family Law Section, Fayette County Bar Association, 2004-2005, 1998-1999, and 1995-1996. Program Planning Committee Member, University of Kentucky Biennial Family Law Institute, 2009, 2007, 2005 (Speaker), 2003, 2001, 1999 (Chair), 1997 (Speaker), 1995, 1993, 1991 (Chair).
